FW5604: Fisheries Ecology and Management

Readings


Primary readings are required and should be read by mid-week. These are tentative dates, but you should have read the material by then unless otherwise announced in class. Discussion sessions (generally Fridays) will be announced a week ahead of time and you should be prepared to discuss the "discussion papers" in class. Check this site and the announcments page once per week to be up-to-date. Papers and links will be updated throuhout the semester.

Supplemental readings provide additional background and detail. Read or look at these if you are interested in the topic. You should also be aware of these sources of information along with any articles in the additional groups listed after some of the supplemental readings.

All primary required readings will either be from the required text (Kohler and Hubert 1999), or availble as pdfs for electronic download from the class website (CRES or via Findit Links), or will be handed out in class (several DNR pages)*. Books and mangement plans are available in the Entomology, Fisheries and Wildlife Library.
