Lecture: Introduction to the Manual & video excerpts demonstrating its use (60 min.)

Group Activity: Apply the Manual to your group case (85 min.). Use this first run through the Manual's decision tree to identify information needed to support key decision points. For food safety assessment portion - you may compare or use instead the decision trees from Joint FAO/WHO Expert Consultation on allergenicity of foods derived from biotechnology.
Discussion: Issues raised by first-run application of the Manual. (20 min.)
