Film Types, Genres and Narrative in Wildlife Film


6:00-7:00 Viewing exercises on major film types/genres:

1. Scientific film - raw observational footage Waterfowl Courtship Displays

2. Narrative Feature Film: Horror King Kong (1933), 20 min.

3. Narrative Feature Film: Animated Feature Bambi (1942), 20 min.

ACTIVITY: You will be asked to review the film clips in class and take notes on them using guidelines developed from your reading that were presented in lecture. We will discuss your observations during class time. More information will be provided in class.
