Eurasian watermilfoil on the surface of Lake-of-the-Isles, Minneapolis Chain of Lakes, in summer 1991. Most of the lake surface was covered and the lakes were still recovering from the 1988-1989 drought. It is indeed difficult to boat or canoe through such infestations.
