The Sorensen Lab

We investigate mechanisms underlying fish behavior, physiology and ecology and their implications to fish conservation and management. In particular, we are a leading center for the study of pheromones, chemical signals that pass between member so the same species. Invasive fish control is also a special interest and we are actively developing new tools including population modeling which includes pheromones to address this problem.
