University of Minnesota, Office 436 Hodson Hall
I completed my undergraduate degree in Fisheries and Wildlife at the University of Minnesota in 1994. During my undergraduate work, I gained experience aging fish and electrofishing. I spent 18 months working for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, where I worked trying to control the exotic species Eurasian watermilfoil (Myriophyllum spicatum ) and purple loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria ). I was the Senior Author for the otolith technology class offered by Dr. George Spangler during spring quarter 1994. I am the teaching assistant this year for the Fisheries Population Analysis class.
and I pursue many outdoor activities. I enjoy golf (when my putter and driver are working), camping
and hiking. I am an avid angler (mostly for bass and fly-fishing for trout), hunter (birds and deer)--recently for sandhill cranes --, and am beginning to learn the art of fly-tying. I am also enjoying the trials and tribulations of being the owner of a great labrador retriever named Kip. I hope he retrieves many a bird for me, if I ever get that crooked shotgun of mine straightened...The Mandatory Disclaimer: "The views and opinions expressed in this page are strictly those of the page author.
