Wildlife disease ecology, disease surveillance, population dynamics, quantitative ecology, spatial ecology, wildlife conservation and management, chronic wasting disease, avian influenza
I am a research scientist in the Department of Natural Resources - Wildlife Health Program, and I am generally interested in wildlife health-related issues, epidemiology, and wildlife disease response in Minnesota. My research interests cross taxonomic boundaries and ecological disciplines, and center on wildlife disease ecology and quantitative approaches to solve conservation and natural resource management problems. I am currently involved in projects including chronic wasting disease in white-tailed deer, avian influenza in wild birds, moose population health, and wolf morphometrics and genetic structure.
