My research interests have focused on waterfowl population management and understanding waterfowl hunters. I worked 16 years for Minnesota Department of Natural Resources as their Waterfowl Specialist, representing the State on Mississippi Flyway Council Technical Section. I represented the Flyway on the Adaptive Harvest Management Working Group for several years, a group that worked to improve waterfowl hunting regulations decisions. Since 2003, I have supervised researchers and biologists who conduct waterfowl/wetland research and monitor and manage waterfowl populations in Minnesota. I have worked with Dr. David Fulton, Sue Schroeder, and others to help conduct several Minnesota Waterfowl Hunter surveys. I am esprecially interested in applying research findings to make informed management decisions.
