Thomas Landwehr

My current position, and previous positions at Ducks Unlimited and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, have focused on conservation of natural lands, especially wetlands. In these positions, I have worked with a variety of staff and partners to create and implement several conservation programs and projects across Minnesota and adjacent states, I have been especially interested in finding innovative financing approaches to large landscape conservation projects. These have included the 24,000 acre Glacial Ridge National Wildlife Refuge in northwest Minnesota, several working forest conservation easement projects in northern Minnesota totaling more than 60,000 acres, and Wetlands Reserve Program and shallow lake restoration projects that have restored more than 10,000 acres of wetland habitats.
