Scholarships

Scholarships are available to undergraduates who need support for undergraduate field experiences and for regular courses. Scholarships for new students are selected as part of the admissions process—no special application is required. 

Current students must apply for scholarships through CFANS
The application deadline is March 1.

 

Arnold M. Sauber Wildlife Scholarship $1,500 awarded to an undergraduate, degree-seeking student attending at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus, enrolled in in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences and studying in the area of wildlife biology who is able to demonstrate both financial need and academic merit. Preference is given to first-generation college students.

Bill Berg CFANS Scholarship Awarded to full-time, undergraduate degree-seeking students attending the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, enrolled in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences who show academic promise and have expressed an interest in pursuing a career in the field of natural resource science, or are studying towards a degree in the area of fisheries, wildlife, and conservation biology. Preference will be given to those in their junior or senior year of study and, when possible, to students who represent a population underserved or underrepresented at the University of Minnesota.

CFANS Field Session Allocation Awarded to support students taking FWCB field courses (FW3106/8) since the courses have significant fees and are required for all. 

Dayton P. Kirkham Sr. Scholarship Fund Provides scholarship support to students in FWCB, including Summer Field Sessions and study abroad courses.

Dr. Glenn Del Giudice Scholarship Awarded to undergraduate, degree-seeking students attending the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus, enrolled in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences and working towards a degree in the area of Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology.

Grady Mann Awarded to full-time sophomore, junior or senior students showing academic promise, and studying Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology at the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences. A preference will be given to students studying small wetlands, waterfowl and associated habitat management.

International Scholarship is intended for new or current CFANS students who are pursuing a bachelor's degree and have strong personal and professional interests in, as well as extensive first-hand experience of, one or more of the countries and cultures of Africa, Asia, Latin America, or the Caribbean. A preference will be given to students majoring in Fisheries and Wildlife.

Safari Club International—Erik Ness Memorial Scholarship Awarded to undergraduate students pursuing studies in wildlife management at CFANS. It is given by Safari Club International - Minnesota Chapter and the North Country Bowhunters in memory of Erik Ness, who died of cancer in 1999.
