Research

My research has focused on the effects of environmental contaminants on the long-term health of aquatic animals, including fish, amphibians, birds and invertebrates. I have worked with a variety of toxicants, including endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), which can cause a wide range of adverse effects on development and reproduction in fish and wildlife, as well as in humans. My research has employed both conventional toxicology approaches (e.g., whole animal tests, field monitoring) and state-of-the-art genomic, bioinformatic and computational tools.
